Should I do a water change

What kind of ammonia are you using? If it's the cleaning kind from the grocery store it has detergents in it which would kill the cycle.
Cycling can take 2 to 3 weeks, and takes a lot of patience!

OH! just saw this is week 6. Must be the ammonia!

I doubt it discus man. If it was detergent related, she wouldn't get any nitrites and the ammonia wouldn't be going away.

The bottle says "pure amonia" so I thinks it's the right stuff.

Oh and I'm out so I have to get more, I have used the whole thing.

I got excited last night after I tested the nitrites looked like they were going down but I knew it was to good to be true, they are back up today....

Oh I was gonna ask this and forgot.

Would the water movement have anything to do with anything. I have a canister pump, bubble wand, and 2 bubble stones. I have added an old underwater pump to give a nice flow.

Any thoughts....

I don't think that affects anything, IME

I didn't think so but hey I will do anything to make sure this cycle will end in a timely manner............................
