We foster stray cats in Dubai until homes can be found for them. So here are some of the one we have looked after.
The bottom two pics (and my avatar) are of "Milo", a cat we fostered and have now adopted as ours. I have said a bit about him before but he had been shot 4 times with an air-rifle, some-one had broken his jaw (thus the dodgy lip) and he was found by the side of the road, dehydrated and starving in temps well up in the 100's. We saw him and just fell for him so we took him home, then to the vets and finally after a few weeks, some good care and some decent meals decided that we were going to keep him.
Milo is a true street cat, very territorial and won't back down from a fight so it means that as fosterers we can now only accept kittens...
Anyhow all of the kittens below have been abandoned on the streets or just left outside the vets and are just a few of the ones we have has pass through our hands....
these are the best pics i can upload of my critters the kitty is max he was a gift from santa this past christmas and then my big baby judge he is a 7 year old amstaff and you would think he was a teddy bear ,,,my little luvs...
Wow cyberbeer! That first pic of Omen is really cool. I'd say it's prize worthy so I'll give it the "One of Sergios favorite cat pics" award because of it's representation of cat-titude.
yep yep... after having danes for almost half of my life I've picked up a few tricks for dealing with their big ole nails. Da da da dumm! Dremel!!!!!!!! I use the regular 10 speed plug-in type instead of the cordless (because the batteries would run down before I got through two paws LOL) and after a few days of hearing the buzzing and having the vibrating around them/on their backs, feet, legs, etc... they don't seem to mind at all and you have much better control over the shaping of the nails too without hitting the quick or splintering them! Now when Bailey hears me get the carrying case for the dremel he runs and plops over on his belly either on the couch with his legs sticking out or on the floor with his legs up in the air!! It truly is a sight to see... And as for the picture above... I had been working on his nails a bit and he feel asleep while I was doing it - ah to live such a hard life, eh?
