I have a 3g Eclipse with a betta, oto, and a ghost shrimp. They're all nice and serve their purpose, but the shrimp is really pretty cool to watch as he cleans the substrate of extra food. Are there any other shrimp I can keep in my tank? I've had ghost shrimp on and off in this tank. The first was eaten after a month, the second was eaten overnight! Can I keep more than one species of shrimp? If not, what should I get next, and how many?

i've seen pictures with ppl having tiger shrimp and cherry shrimp in the same tank (i think their called cherry shrimp). i have 4 cory's, 2 neons, 2 white cloud, 2 zebra danio, and two ADF (male, 1in.-1.5in., female, 2.5in.) and they haven't even touched one of the ghost shrimp (4, one jumped out of the tank lol....and dried out), i guess bettas just dont' like em in there, what type of shrimp u have in there now?

i have 5 ghost shrimp, 1 shrimp that i dont know the name of (has "filter" feeding hands), and one 6 in prawn.

they all live peacefully, and are my favorites.

So can I basically take my pick as to what shrimp to put in with my betta in the 3g? It doesn't sound like it'd be big enough for a giant prawn ;) but are there any other considerations for the other species?

Why do you want to put more shrimp in there if they are just going to get eaten?
