shrimps with honey gourami?

I have a pair of honey gourami in an 8 gallon tank and would like to put some shrimp in there with them... would Amano shrimp be okay or should I play it safe (cheap!) and get some ghosties?

Seriously though, I too tried this and I ended up with no shrimp after 2 days

You can try it if you have a lot of tight hiding places, but ghosts like to swim to the surface and grab their food... If the gouramis are small juvies atm, and they can "learn" to not eat the shrimp it may be possible.
