Ok, my GT and JD, both about 2-3" hide in caves all day, come out to eat, then hide again. The JD used to be real social, he would come up to the glass when i walked into the room and greet me. Now they both chill together in a clay pot all day. Is there anything I can do?

(a) try a school of 'dither fish', (b) dim the lights, (c) increase the 'cover' opportunities for the fish by adding some bogwood, rocks and such.
Dither fish are used to reassure any nervous fish that would otherwise hide away. dither fish must not be aggressive or a finnipper nor should it be a hyperactive one that dashes around all the time. A calm peaceful midwater fish is what we really want. It must also come from a similar enviroment, temp ph etc. Once the nervous individuals see the dither fish are swimming out in the open and coming to no harm, They must realise that there there are no predators around and gradually they will calm down. Once settled it is ammazing just how ‘tame’ they can become.
