Shy peacock

Hi, my male peacock cichlid is always hiding...do any of you guys know how to bring him out and stay out? :help:

He's around 3 1/2", hes in a 75gal tank...with dividers he has almost 2/3 of the tank, 1 bristlenose pl*co and a female peacock.

hes been there for a week now, but he started hiding in my old tank, hes stuartgranti ngara.

throw some giant danios in there for dither fish..that usually helps my more bashful peacocks..by the way, great avatar.

Throw in any kind of live fish that he can eaisly swollow would be good, just make sure they are not diseased( not gold fish). Also if you can get hold of cricket's or some kind of live insect's and put them in he should go for that. Try blood worms they sometimes do the trick. Also turn the lights off for a few days, that should get him used to the tank, he will also be more likely to eat live foods this way. Once you have him eating then you can gradualy feed him dried or frozen foods. One other thing if you can find out what foods he was eating from the place you bought him that would help.
