Does anyone have information on these?

I'm under the impression that they are a dwarf version of a demekin.

Special care requirements?

Also, where can I find one in the US?

Thanks.

They're very hard to find. You'd have to look very hard for these. Their max size is 4-5 inches. Care is similar to other variants. They're very easy to keep.:)

Are these like china dolls? Yeah I've heard they're hard to find. I'd love mini goldfish! I've fallen helplessly in love with pandas!

There are no dwarf goldfish... China doll is a name bandied around a lot, and everyone seems to have some different notion about what they might be. What I have seen most often labeled a china doll is a top view short tail telescope.

There is no discernable difference between the size potential of a china doll compared to similar fancies. If that is the only reason you want them, then it's pointless. Otherwise, you'd be better off with a regular telescope, in terms of price and availability.

Ohh. Well is there any common breeds that stay *relatively* small? I'm going to put 2 or 3 (probably 2) fancies in a 36g, and eventually move them up to a 55 or maybe 75. I'm shying away from orandas, because I can't find shortbodied ones and the regulars easily hit a foot. I'm kind of thinking moors because I was under the impression they max out at 8 inches. By that time I'd have them in a 55. I know ryukins get pretty big, but do fantails? I'm pretty new to goldfish.

Personally, I'd be nervous having 2 fancies in a 36g... Massively overfiltered is a must, or just start in a 55.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd want 3X filtration at least for goldies. Then again I've got 1.5X filtration as the norm on all my tanks. Anyway it's your choice, increased maintenance & water changes help, too.
