At my local fish store, I saw some fish labeled "Siamese Dolls." They look like tiny, inch-long black moors. I was told that they do not exceed the length of one inch; is this true? I have an albino moor that I bought awhile ago, who has never exceeded 2 inches in length.
Anyone with info on this odd goldfish type, please pass it along. I cannot find much of anything on the Net about them. :(
Edit: Could a Moderator, possibly move this topic to the Coldwater/Goldfish forum? Please do not think I am ignorant, but I did not notice that forum was there until after posting this! Thank you.

I couldn't find too much on the net about them, but I did find some posts on other boards where people said they had the same fish at least 3 inches long.

Fancy goldfish don't always get as big as common goldfish but can generally get to be 8-10 inches in lenght if they are given the proper setup.

What sort of tank do you have? A black moor (or albino) can easily get much bigger than 2 inches if not stuck in a small tank.

I have 6 goldfish in a 55g long tank. (I know that general consensus would say I am overstocking by one, but I have had no problems and do mega-water changes.) I have a two-chambered Marinelane HOB filter on back, and an aquaclear (their second-smallest model) as a little something extra. I also do half-tank water changes weekly. I know I am doing something right, because the Lhead and one of the TEs bred for me a few months ago. Granted, I only got three healthy young out of the pairings, but that's because the eggs and fry kept getting attacked by planarian worms, which must be in our water supply (one more reason why I drink bottled water. :) The three surviving young are doing great in another tank, and are over an inch long! I know people that have purposely went berserk making their tank "perfect" and buying pre-sexed GFs, only to never have them breed. So I am pretty proud. ;)
The fish are two lionheads, two telescope-eye, the albino "doll", and a regular fantail. The TEs are roughly 5 inches not counting their tails, and so is one of the lionheads; the other was bought later and is only two inches. The doll was bought before the smaller lionhead and is not growing beyond two inches. The fantail is older and roughly the same size as the TEs.
The tank works out really, really well because the water I use is wellwater that's run through a purifier that adds salt. In my experience, adding salt to a GF tank does wonders. Not a lot, roughly a tablespoon per gallon of water bring replaced after a water change.
Here are a few pics:
