hi about a week ago, I bought a beautiful betta with metallic greenish blue mixed with pink outlines at the tip of the fins. the problem is, that for the first week, it seemed very active. I often saw it going back and forth against the glass. but then, now it seems to "sleep" on the bittom. it seems to be breathing fine, and I don't see any problems on the fish. the temperature is about 76 degrees. I also keep harlequin rasboras, and a cory cat with him. is this normal? I heard that most male bettas arent that active.

is he (or she) eating well? still coming up for air? maybe try upping the temp to 78... any loss or change in color?

well he is still eating VERY well. when I put in food it comes up right away. he also comes up for air too.

he is just sitting on the bottom, not laying on it's side. the water parameters are fine and I change my water every other week so im pretty confiudent about the levels of organics in there too.

I was under the impression weekly would be the least we can do instead of every other week. Post the exact results of water parameters. It won't really help if you don't.
