Sick Fish and Snail

I have pond with 20+ goldfish and 1 Peruvian Giant snail [which I've had for 2 years]. We have to treat the fish for disease. We are worried about the effects of medicine on our snail. What should we do? The snail probably is contaminiated with whatever organisms that are attacking the fish.

Do you know what kind of ailment you're dealing with? What kind of medication are you talking? The general anti-parasite meds are aimed at invertebrates so can indeed harm or kill your snail.

Could you set up a temporary tank or tub for it whilst treating? Snails do carry diseases but as mentioned we need to know what you are treating and with what.

Where are you located (General region is ok) and how big is this pond? Has it been set up for long?
