Sick fish! HELP!

when they reach the point when they're on their side, it is almost always too late :sad:, if you wanna try it, the only thing you could do is put him in a hospital tank for 24 hours with some salt and pimafix and not feed him, but if you could post a more detailed description of sympotms we could help you identify what happened so you can prevent it from happening or treat it earlier next time

i would have to say internal parasites, lost a gourami that way myself not too long ago, are there any long, stringy white feces coming out of him, that's a sure fire sign of internal parasites
I concure it sounds like intrenal patasites to me as well. Is he still eating? This is ussually there only hope if you can get them to eat medicated food or garlic it should kill off the parasites.
I'm sorry about your fish. : ( I have a guppy lying on the bottom for about a week now, although he spends his nights at the top, his belly looks a bit puffy to me and my Dwarf Gourami had a 2 inch poop hanging down the other day. Could this be parasites as well?? My water parameters are normal.
Even though I don't love Jungle Lab products, I found their parasite clear tank buddy tablets to be quite effective in eliminating my internal parasite problem I had with my angels. I do recommend doing two treatments however just to be safe. Is the long poop white/milky/stringy?
