sick fish

please help me, i have africans that are getting some kind of fin rot but they have red sore like things formimg on there sides. i need serious help i have had 2 fish die already i don't want any more to perish. i need to know what to do. please help asap.

what are your water specs? use melafix that's what I use

1) do you feed the fish live goldfish?
2)do the sores look like tiny holes are being poked in them?
