I stopped at a chain pet supply store to get some live feeders for my Jag....
I found a tank with three extremely sick target puffers. They didn't even have 'HOLD' on the tank.
I asked the kid helping me if there was salt in the water, why are they sick, do they even know what's wrong with them.
Now I used to own target puffers and I have never seen puffers look as bad as these three did. You could barely see their eyes, they were covered and the fins looked like they were rotting, not to mention the rest of their bodies.
I approached the manager and asked him about the condition of the fish. He told me they have salt in the water... and I know a little bit of salt is fine...but that the fish arrived like that.
He 'figures' they have finrot and are treating them.
I know he doesn't watn someone approaching him pointing out the sickly condition of his fish. I just know I won't be going there anymore.
