Hello everyone
My husband and I are relatively new to aquariums but think it's great. We currently have three aquariums, one of which is still cycling. My question is about our ten gallon, in which we have seven red-eyed tetras and one black skirt tetra. The black skirt is very peaceful and schools well with the others. Our levels are normal and our tank is pretty healthy.
Last week, however, we noticed a scale missing near the tail fin on one of our red-eyes. We assumed it was a nip from fighting or playing. Now a light red bump has developed in its place. His behavior has not changed at all. He eats, does not hide, and gets along with the others, but we are worried about infection. Does anyone know if it needs treated and how to treat it? If a bacterial infection developes, are the other fish susceptible? Any advice or input is appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
