Silver tipped tetra has problem turning roud in water and staying on level keel, the tetra looks in good condition, any answer to this problem please .

More details needed. If the fish is stuck at bottom or top, unable to dive/sink, it's probably the swim bladder. If it's just swimming in a strange way, then it's either neurological or there's organ failure underway - either way the prognosis is poor. IME a fish doing this sort of thing is booked for the Great Aquarium In The Sky.

sometime head down and tail up or reverse, then jerks itself straight again , swims
in jerky motion to turn right or left, stays most times in middle of tank can swim in straight line alright, nice silver underbelly, eating well. isolated in small tank.

May I assume the fish was recently added?

Details of the tank?
- Size
- Stock
- Water Parameters
- Cycled/how long has it been established, etc.

That aside, the first thing I usually think of when I hear swimming issues is acclimation. If this is a new fish, how was this done?

60 litre tank, cycled over 6 months ago 25%water changes every fortnight, have 20 fish all doing well, fed with tetramin, keep tank very clean, air stone in use, no polishes etc used near tank, this tetra is one of five added 7weeks ago, tank size
13"deep 12" wide 23" long .

Try putting the one in a quarantine tank. I had tetras that were swimming upside down and couldn't stay upright. I thought they were all going to die, so I put them in a quarantine tank and after a few minutes they straightened up and left them there over night and they were able to swim just fine. I figured it was something to do with dangerous water parameters since they straightened right up in my quarantine tank, and none died. I added Kordon Amquel Plus to detoxify my water of nitrates/ammonia etc, put the tetras back in there and they did just fine.

Although if you have some sort of bladder disease, thats a different story.

Already isolated in other tank, will leave him for a few days and see what happens .

Tetra put down, a jelly kind of lump came up in upper back. had to end it's life quick,
Cheers for all the posts .
