Sigh....another issue...

My ten gallon houses 2 mollies, 2 platys and 2 blind cave fish.
One of the cave fish has either a growth or a fungus on its pectoral (?) fin, keeping it from moving properly. He can still swim fine and eats fine. As the fish is white/translucent, I cant really tell if its a growth or a fungus... What is this and how do I get rid of it!!! Oh, I know that the mollies are picking on the platies and Im going to move them to my 20 gal tonight, but I havent seen the mollies do anything but ignore the cave fish. BTW, how do I get a good pic. of my fish?

could it be fin-rot? is the fin being eaten away, or is the stuff just growing on it? is there anything growing on its lips?

if its fin-rot, any antibacterial medication should work... as the disease is a bacterial infection, not a fungus just read the back to see what it treats

to get a good pic of the fish, use the macro setting (flower symbol) and turn off the lights in your room, make the inside of the tank as bright as possible, and the room its in as dark as possible, if the flash is on take the picture at a slight angle, or cover up the flash with something, then upload the picture onto your computer, then onto a website (aquariacentral does not host pictures) the website should give you an address to insert into the post that would form a hyperlink to the place that the picture is... gl!

I usually take lots of pictures until I get a good one. Ok if you have a digital camera, but expensive if you don't. Does it look fuzzy or like a bump? I am assuming the blind cave fish is a blind cave tetra?

Yes, its a tetra. The bump seems solid, but my hubby thought it seemed fuzzy. Hard ot tell with the coloring of the fish. Doesnt seem to be anythign missing from its fin. There are two protusions on top of both of the bcf's muzzles, but I thought those were what it used to "see"...
