Anyone have any tricks for keeping them semi-upright? Due to the current in the tank and the pull from the filters, they bend over, and don't stay tall like they are supposed to (24" plants). Other than adjusting the filter is there anything I can do to keep them from falling over?

I once had an ornament that was held with fishing line and my fish were constantly hitting it. I was affraid the line could damage them.
The best solution would be to relocate the filter or the plants. I usually keep plants away from filter currents to avoid bending.
OFF TOPIC: Also, I had some living plants that got yellow when I placed them in the strong current. Moved them to the calmer part of the tank and they became green again.

Yeah I don't think I like the fishing line idea either, but thank you for the suggestion. I have some crazy fish, and I am sure they would hit it pretty hard.

I really don't want to rearrange the tank for the plants, it is a 180g, 3~2 foot sections, and the filters are on either end. I really wanted the plants on the ends to balance out a large rock thing I have in the middle. But even the plants in middle are effected, they just pull to one side as opposed to completely bent over

i was thinking of attaching a floater to the tips, but Don't get a way to fix it to the plant and be unnoticeable.
Also, you could glue to the back of the leaves a plastic straw like those used to stir coffee. Just a suggestion.

Oh oh. How about some of that stuff for fake flower stems? where its a piece of wire with some kind of green plastic coating? I just thought of it right this second, so I dont know if it would be safe or not. :huh: you could just wrap a few pieces of it arround the stems of your plants.
i hold them underwater under really hot water from the tap and let them cool while still upside down. this stiffs them up a little but if the water flow is really strong they will still get pushed around.
