Are all silk plants safe for fish tanks? I was wondering if the silk plants you buy at craft stores would be safe for fish.

I wouldnt see why they wouldnt be safe. They are all made the same minus the holding plant base. Just make sure to rinse them before use.

if any have metal parts that may rust i would be cautious about them.

We have all fake/silk plants in our big tank with no adverse effects. One rule of thumb we used, though, make sure the leaves are one piece with the stem - if they are just stuck on the end, the fish may be able to pull them off.
