sister disrupts stocking

In her 20 gallon, she is begging me to take the dwarf true color gourami out, he chases around some of the other fish, and she thinks he's mean. I can't figure out what to put in there. She has 4 red platties and 10 cardinal tetras.

Based on her opinion of that gourami, I can't say I could suggest much as far as larger fish.

you could add 3 khuli loaches, just make sure they have a cave or a place to hide. cory cats would be out in the open more and is another possibility.

If you provide some cover the platy babies will be able to survive and that would increase the numbers in the tank.

Other than what has been suggested, or a dwarf ancistrus (bristlenose pleco), I'd remove the gourami and leave the stocking alone.

I had a dwarf gourami and it was a little bully too. I recently bought a moonlight gourami for my 20g tank, and a honey gourami for my 30g, and both are way more peacefull and don't bully the other fish at all.
