A nice online website sells nice black 2-3mm gravel and nordic 2-4mm and i now question myself what size i need my gravel to b? I want to go as natural as possible so mayb that nordic 1?
I read on reddit that the smaller the gravel is the more chance for gas pockets & stuff, but foo the flowerhorn has 2-3mm gravel & it working 4 him?
And how many kgs of gravel would i need to make 1.5” of height? 2kg is enough?
Thanks!^^

2-3 mm is perfect, 2-4 mm is fine as well. The black substrate is very dark however, if you have shrimp that aren't white or yellow or dark bottom feeders they do become hard to see.

To me that size sounds perfect. Easier than sand to set plants in.

All I could find recently in that 2-3mm size is white. I mixed it with the 2-4mm natural gravel I had.

What is the footprint of the tank?

So it's roughly 15"x15" ? I would think 10-12lbs would give you 1.5" Sorry.. Gotta convert it all to dummy US units for it to make sense to me.
