Anyone out there have a Remora model of skimmer? I've got this output problem and don't know what to do? The collection cup fills up in about 2 hours maybe less. I have not added any additives of any kind to my water. I even got in touch with the tech support people there at AquaC and the first thing they asked was about additives. I have had this skimmer for over 5 years now and never have seen this kind of thing.

aqua c doesn't call it a venturi they call it an injector. I scrubbed the complete thing down and now its all foam and not just water that its producing. this is the only skimmer I've had and its been pretty good till now. They say I don't need to clean it but something was causing it to fill up so fast. Nobody must hast one of these because I rarely see any talk about them.
i had one for a while until i got a deltec and never had a single problem with them.
is there anything different about your tank? perhaps the water is shallower because of evaporation? what about on the inside of the skimmer, on the injection tube, you will see a little white screw. is that still there? perhaps it isnt as screwed in as it used to be? maybe something was added to your tank that you just dont knwo about? cleaning products? is the collection up raised up all the way?

I took the skimmer out and cleaned it out and it work really nice for about a day and then it back to the way it was. I have the O-ring set so the cup sits up nice and high but thats not no help. I clean it out one day the next I have foam coming out the small port on the lid. I have no idea how anyone wouldn't know if something was added without your knowledge of it. I haven't added anything and when I was this wasn't happening. I have added calciums, iodine and buffers before and nothing like this was happening. I have a mag drive 5 connected and have had this on for well over 3 yrs. Don't ask the companies tech support people because they're worthless.
