I'm thinking maybe my next tank could be cichlids. Probably a 20, maybe up to a 30.(I'd like to get a 50+, but no place to put one!) Are their any cichlids that stay small enough, maybe 3-4 inches?
Thanx

Oh, yeah. Don't they tear up plants?

german blue rams are the only ones i could think of now. Right now i have 2 cichlids, had 3...and they seme fine if you have enough rocks for them to hide in.

there are quite a number of 'small' cichlids which will do well in a 20 or 30 gallon tank ... your selection should be based on your water chemistry. hard and alkaline? the shell dwellers from Lake Tanganyika. soft and acid? Apistogramma, Anomolochromis, Pelvicachromis are some.
