I picked up a rather nice mopani stump and got it in the tank. What I like about this piece is that there is a built in cave. About 3" below the entrance to the cave is a small ledge. I'm wondering if there is a small plant that I can attach to this ledge to provide some cover to the entrance for a nice hide away? Shouldn't get no bigger than say 6-8".

At first I was thinking java fern and just keep working it to keep it small but not sure if that would really work well.

Thoughts?

Java fern would do it and would be my first choice but it can spread fast if it's really happy. An Anubias (no such plant as an "Anubia") would also fit the bill. A patch of moss would also do it.

Anubias Nana would be easy to care for, and I think make a nice little "door". Fish DO love that kind of thing.
