Hi, my husband surprised me with a 60 ltr tank for Christmas. He was well aware that I've wanted fish for a while, but with moving, renovating, babies, etc - the time was never right. Kept goldfish for a few years about 10 years ago, and while they survived fine, I wouldn't claim to have been educated in the process. Now I've set up my tropical tank with two ottos, two lemon tetras, two black widow tetras & two black neons & one female ram. Done copious reading on the subject, now know heaps more than what I did Christmas Day, but still feel very ignorant. They all seem to be happy together, I even suspect my ottos of laying eggs, but that may be wishful thinking & I'm not into planning broods of baby fish at this stage of the game. Of course I want to add more fish, but still need to figure out what will be best & preferably add some colour & I'm still fine tuning some things in the tank, so taking it slow.
