I have a 20g (tall) planted tank and I have a lot of baby mollies (from 3 mothers who keeps pushing). And since you cant keep baby mollies from growing, what are some type of fishes that are really tiny that can be kept in such tank?

I have: filters, heaters, plants, low lighting. a pH of 7.6, hard water, and temp of 80*

I looked at neon tetras and glofishes and fancy guppies... theyre nice, but are there more species smaller than them you cant find at petsmart?

Thanks!

I love my celestial pearl danios. I keep them in a tank with Platies, neon tetra, and shrimp.
I don't know of any smaller fish than the danios.
Minnows that you find in creeks are pretty small.

Thanks for the suggestions! I love the badis but I think I'm still a novice in this hobby. I love the celestial pearls too, I'm currently looking for places that has them.

This site has a list of really nice nano fish with sizes. You want to make sure that they are compatible with your mollies before you buy though. Some, like the bumblebee goby can be fairly aggressive for its small size, and scarlet badis do much better in a species only tank and not a community tank. http://www.franksaquarium.com/nanofish.htm

Also, remember that these really small fish may require different feeding than mollies. They may need live/frozen foods like baby brine shrimp or daphnia, or you may have to crush flakes up very small when feeding. You also have to make sure that the mollies dont eat all the food before the smaller ones get a chance :)

some of the rasboras are even smaller then that. there are 50-60 fish that can be found with out too much trouble that are smaller then neons. petsmart having them might be another story you might have to order online.

Agree. You could consider Boraras Maculatus (dwarf spotted rasboras, for lack of a better name), or Boraras Brigittae (chili rasboras) - Great little fish which look real good and would be compatible. But as vwill said, I'm think they may, at least partially, need a slightly different diet than mollies, which do fine with mainly vegetable matter. Should not be any kind of problem though. Also like the Celestial Pearl Danios, which I keep with the small rasboras I mentioned, and ember tetras.

Oh wow. To be honest I eliminated rasboras from my list because I thought they were boring and dull (the ones I see at petsmart -.-) but now, those pics from vwill's link changed my mind!!
