Snail Enemies

Hi guys and girls,

I was hoping to get a couple of gouramis and a rainbow shark, but was wondering if they attack snails at all?

What kind of snails? My dwarf gouramis will eat pond snails. They don't bother the trumpet snails though, and I doubt they would attack a large one like an apple or mystery snail. Don't know about the shark.

YOu might find that the fish nip at the snails tentacles, and then the snails will hide in their shells all the time, and may be too stressed to eat. I've not yet found a gourami that will work with my snails. However, these will not harm thruogh the operculum the way clown loaches will...
