Hello, I put some live banana plants in a 20 gal tropical tank. 1 month later, I see 1 snail. should I remove it or what? 1 doesn't bother me, but someone told me I could get lots and then have a big problem. Opinions, please.

i bought a hornwort and i've already taken out about 40, and i can still see about 15 more around the tank i cant get to, just watch and see if more hatch, and if you do start catching them. Unless you want your tank infested with snails (like mine) or you have a fish that will eat them!

Begginers guide to snails

This article should give you some insight to the world of snails including control or populations.

I would not have a tank without them unless the fish I keep just won't allow snails o survive.

Ditto! You may have a population explosion at first, but once the food suppl is diminished, the numbers should drop off.

Thanks!

Thanks for the information. much to absorb. I came to the right place.
