Sorry guys my camera sucks so I can't get a good picture of this snail. its about pea size white shell and white foot. it is shaped exactly like a mystery snail. the point doesn't stick out very far at all like a pond snail. I got it out of a river here in MS along with what looks like trumpet snails with black shells and black and orange flecked feet. I hope this is a good description. I will try getting a pic soon. Thanks guys!!

There are a bunch of snails in the apple snail family that it could be. Try applesnail.net and see if you can ID it based on the shell diagrams. They will show you the angle of the shell and help you determine what subspecies of apple snail you are dealing with.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the id. Let us know what you found! :)

:iagree: Sounds like it could be a number of different types of wild apple snails and applesnail.net is really helpful. And yes please do let us know what you find. :)

So I have done lots of research and didn't come up with much. it is def some type of apple snail. I found that it looks like a waterhouse snail but these are native to Australia. I'm hoping that they grow large enough to take better pictures.
