Sorry wasnt' sure where to post this but since they would be to feed a Fig. 8 I figured I would post here, OBVIOUSLY if they are MTS I wont feed them!
The color of their shell is whiteish with light brown markings.
If they are MTS, will the babies shells be too hard also?
I am new to this all I know is if they are MTS they are not what I want.
Thanks

I am pretty sure that they are MTS. However, I personally like these little guys. If you don't overfeed, you shouldn't have a problem with them breeding quickly. I have a few my self and just keep my feedings in check to keep their population in check.

EDIT: Sorry. I didn't see that you wanted them for live food for your puffer. However, I am pretty positive that these are in fact MTS.

I do really like them they are very pretty I love the colors on their shell.
I was afraid they were MTS, but I went to buy a little snail breeder tank with a filter for a figure 8 feeder tank(we dont' have fig 8 yet want to get snails going first) and when I told my LFS he gave me some "free" snails he called them something else that I havn't heard of so couldnt' be sure until I got them home.

I would like to put them in my 55 gallon they are so pretty but my husband says no way they will take over, so he's going to take them back this morning and "buy" some pond or Ramshorn snail.

Ok my husband returned them and got a bunch of these, however they are not as photogenic as the others this was the clearest picture I could get.

either MTS or Pond snail, I have a ton of these..the clown loaches love them

Is there a reason not to feed MTS to puffers? My F8 cleaned out a huge infestation of them when I first got him.

Oh their shells are too hard for them (possibly break their teeth) from what I have been reading so if trying to breed them for puffer food it would be best to get ramshorn or pond. It sounds like your puffer didnt' have a problem with them..
Now i'm totally into snails, I am getting 3 apples snails for my 55 gallon soon i'm so excited. :)
