Hello people,
I have a 55 gallon with 3 Neo Brichardi and some plants. Last week I added 2 more plants, just to give a more natural look. I found out that there are some snails, I guess I brought them in with the plants.

On the 38 gallon community Rainbow (which I am thinking of changing to African cichlids) I added some gold-fish to the time been and noticed some small elongated snails.

First Picture (very small conic snail)

Second and third pistures (very small round snails)

Are this snails ok or will eat the plants?

I just added also complete picture of the two tanks

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

first picture is of Malaysian trumpet snail, second is a pond snail. Neither eat healthy plants, only decaying plant matter, algae, and leftover food. Either can reproduce readily with a good food source.

Yep, both will reproduce very rapidly if the conditions are right (most are, lol). They shouldn't bother the plants at all, and they will probably even help clean the algae off and they will only eat the dead or nearly dead parts of plants.

If the MTS reproduce too much, they may disturb the roots of the plants, but this only really happens if you have a major infestation.

Just avoid overfeeding your fish, as overfeeding will give the snails something to eat as well as promote algae (besides polluting your water).

I like he MTS they keep the substrate turned. they burrow in and root about..
