snail poop a problem, Whats my answer?

Hello everyone,

I just purchased 25 margarita snails and 2 turbo snails for my 37g FOWLR. And boy, it only took them one day to really make a mess of things.

What is the answer to this?

I only have one sleeper goby in the tank right now.

Time

After they get your algae under control your infauna should deal with your waste materials. At first though it's going to take your little sand dwellers some time to catch up with them. As they become more established they should solve the problem for you.

Yeah, the turbos do make a mess, don't they? I had a pair in my tank, and actually traded them in for a lot of little snails. Still get probably the same volume of poop, but it's a lot smaller and spread out, so doesn't look as messy.

Also, didn't like the larger snails. Personal preference. They'd actually knock over small rocks, etc.
