i was thinking of getting a snail but i have a red claw crab and i want to get a plant(no co2 so probly just 1) i was thinking of maybe a Malayan Needle Point Snail, but i think my crab will eat it. another one is a Mystery Snail. i think it would do better, but i was wondering whats everyone thinks.

thanx

thanks, but now i'm thinking about feeding them to the crab, any ideas? (BTW nice web site)

If you are considering using the snails as food, then I would go with the common pond or water snail. These are very easy to breed (they need no help with that...), are cheap (you can find them almost anywhere - you would probably get some eggs or your plant) and are generally thought of as the best food snail as far as I am aware.

Hope this helps,
Michael.
