i have about 200 snails now and have no idea what to do with them i think that they are mystery snail any suggestions?

Well, you have a couple of options. You could

A. Get some loaches, if you have enough room in the tank. They will eat them

B. Put a peice of lettuce in there overnight and pull it out in the morning, they should be all over it. You can repeat this process until they are all gone.

C. See if any of you LFS's would take them. Then you can remove them and bag them up and give them to LFS.

They aren't mystery snails. Mystery snails reproduce differently, and any egg sacks would be easily disposed of, since they are large and above the water line.

Clean the tank more often and better, making certain that you clean the substrate very well, and reduce feedings. Snails problems only occur in tanks that are overfed and undercleaned. If you don't already clean the tank weekly, start now, and do small water changes initially so there aren't any sudden changes for the fish.

Adding more fish, even ones that eat snails, is a poor option since it means you end up having MORE fish to feed, producing even MORE waste.

well these snails lay eggs above the water and underneath i get rid of as many eggs as i can everyweek when i do the water changes. since you say that they are notmystery snails do you know of anywhere i coulod look to find out what kind they are?
