So I have a tropical community with an assortment of fish including a fair number of live bearers. (6 platys picked at random that appear to have turned out 3 boy 3 girl... 4 BB mollies of mixed sexes, and im not sure if these are live bearers or not but lyre tails) So I thought my BB was pregnant a couple weeks ago, and I still think she was and her fry just got eaten which was expected. But one of my platys has been hiding in a cave alot so I thought she is prob pregnant and going to give birth soon too... however she is still sometimes hiding in the cave and other fish are hovering around so she may have given birth BUT today when I was looking for my new tiny albino BN plecos I saw this REALLY little fish come out for like a second and dart back into my driftwood decoration. It kinda looked like a red platy baby but it was only for a second I saw it... So I dont know what it is but it had a defined shape and was colorful not like a brand new newborn from what I saw and it appears to hide in my plecos "cave" under the driftwood where only my rubber lip pleco and glass catfish are allowed to hide out. My questions is, when will it be big enough to not be eaten and how can I possibly catch it? lol I am interested to find out what fish it actually is and it would be the first fry I ever have had born and survive! So I kinda hope it makes it all the way... tips?
