some advice please

For the past week or so I've been noticing a lot of activity between my 2 false percs. They've been wiggling by eachother and swimming together and chasing eachother around. I was wondering if these kinds of behaviors were due to them maturing and getting ready to spawn? Also, they seem to be looking for a place to call home ... they've been trying to "host" in my colt coral and in my new Zooanthids, I've even caught them harrassing my colony of green star polyps. Is this mating behavior or are they just having fun?

One last question, these 2 clowns have always been happy together and since this active behavior of theirs has been going on I've noticed that one of them is looking a bit tattered. The tail is shredded and it's fins have taken a bit of a beating too. All things considered though this fish always go right back to the other perc (whom I assume is the agressor - never noticed anyone else picking on anyone) and they seem to be buddy-buddy. Do these guys get rough with one another during courtship? Is this just typical mating behavior or should I be worried?

Thanks for any advice!

doesn't sound like mating too much to me. when my clowns spawn they are generally cleaning off an area in the tank not showing too much aggression.

Sounds to me like one is just showing the other who is in charge at this point.
