Some ideas needed for this tank..

I'm so sad...no one is ooohing...and ahhhhing over this very expensive piece of driftwood I just picked up....jeesh..for the price I paid I think a few oohs and aaahs aren't too much to ask..... :joke:

Seriously.....what does anyone think of the new addition to this tank I am so very ssssllooowwllllyyy getting setup...lol...

Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. Not sure this is exactly the way the driftwood will be set...but for now it's alright until I get some more plants in there. The one behind the wood is fake..silk..

OOh and AAAhhh lol

Seriously it is a very nice piece of driftwood. You could tip it to the left and have a larger opening on the bottom for your fish to swim through. That being said it looks good the way it is though.

Emg, I just went to your website and checked out all your fish and terrariums and must say they are very impressive. I really like the terrariums. You have some awesome looking bettas there, too.

As far as lighting is concerned, on this particular tank, I think you would be very happy with some Coralife Trichromatics or Tritons. They're a little pricier than most other bulbs but I've always had very good plant growth with them and their color rendition is superb. You could try them together too...I think you'd be pretty happy with them.

Would that need a whole new light fixture Slappy....or are those just bulbs? I don't think I want to go for a new light fixture...I'm already spending more than I should on this hobby...lol....I'm afraid this tank is going to have to be satisfied with whatever I can get that fits into this dual strip light for now.

I was wondering if going to at least one 6700K instead of the 2800k and the 4200k I have in there now......or just what combination would be of more use. As far as I know I can only get up to 2-20watt bulbs in this fixture.

Oh, thanks for the compliment Slappy.. :D I do so enjoy this hobby..!

And TBone....I flipped that thing over this way and that....lol....the back side looks real nice too...I was sort of trying to go for the "stump" look. Also it matches real well the other piece I have on the other side of the tank. I'm going to have fun getting this all planted and setup. A little here, a little there till I'm satisfied.
