I have at least two and maybe 3-4 cherries carrying eggs. How long until they drop them? Anything I should do to grease the skids?

Hmmmm sometimes you can see little eyes in the eggs then the only days away , also when you see the saddle form again she is ready to have her baby's also days away maybe up to a week , if there in a community tank most if not all the baby's well get eaten by other fish unless you have lots of plants some well make it :)

Good luck M8

Usually once you see the berries it's about 21 days away IME. unless you are seeing them after they have been berried for a while. Congrats though. :)

I have a fair number of plants and some driftwood with good hiding places. My stock is 5 green neon tetras, 3 guppies, and 5 peppered corys. I'm figuring they will get some of the babies but hopefully some will make it. The fish pretty much ignore the shrimp today, and vice versa.

I would make sure you have plenty of java moss. Baby RCS are SOO tiny it's almost hard to see them and fish LOVE to eat them, but are less able to do so if they can hide deep in the moss. I keep my RCS in a very heavily planted tank with gobs of moss in it and some normans lampeye killifish, and I still dont get complete survival of babies. Some are still eaten, but I get enough survivors to keep my colony going. :)

Definitely get some moss if don't have any, because your corys will eat them up in no time! Good luck!

It really does have to be a type of moss they can get into, such as java, Christmas, Taiwan, etc. Thick and Bushy...
