I have a 55g tank I used to only have 1 weather loach but he seemed lonely so I got him 2 friends. Everything was going good then I wasn't seeing one of the new ones about 2 days went by with no sign of I'm. I searched the whole tank and eventually found him inside a hollow rock structure that I have. He must of burrowed under the gravel and up into the rock. I shook him out and he darted around the tank like a nut and eventually settled down. He wasn't showing intrest in food but I just figured he was still freaked out from being in the rock. Its been days and now he is really lethargic and to my knowledge he has not been eating. I held an alge disk right to his lips and he was still not eating. I isolated him in a floating breeder and put in diffrent foods. He will do theres where movements and twitch and curl him self up in a coil. I don't know what to do. What else can I do for him? Should I force feed him? He looks thin. How can I force feed him?

The other fish are fine and I tested the water everything is in range.

Reading in the other weather loach tread I though it might be gill flukes. I found an anti parasitic med called general cure. It doesnt say anything about using it on scale less fish though.

What are the active ingredients in it?

Forcefeeding in any way is stressful. What are your water parameters? Try lacing food with garlic to tempt it. Have you seen it excrete wastes?

It has metronidazole and praziquantel in it. I checked the water a few days ago during my regular matance I don't recall the numbers of the top of my head but everything was in range.
They like garlic? I will try. I held an algae wafer right against his lips and he didn't eat at all the other loaches swarm for them.
He is looking so thin. He will change positions and all but just doesn't seem to eat or swim around that much. Since I have him in the breeder to keep the fish from stealing his food I will keep an eye out for him passing waste.

He doesn't seem to have eaten any of the algae wafter or pooped. He will randomly flap around in the breeder. I dosed with the meds. I'm going to try the garlic thing. I'm going to mince it up in peas right now.

The garlic did not work. He is still alive though.

I had to reread your posts just to find out what exactly is wrong. Here are my observations again...

You may have hurted the loach by shaking it out of the log. It has its reason to be inside the log. They hide, they dig, they bury themselves, etc. With three in the tank, it is likely that the other 2 have paired up and there is probably territorial issues going on.

Putting that loach in that breeder cup is the absolute worst thing to be done. They need to be down low with lots of cover and shelter. That poor fish is probably dying simply from stress and nothing more. If you want to seperate it, get it into a qt tank alone with lots and lots of decorations. That fish is not going to eat while in the cup. Once in a quarantine tank, try live black worms for food. This would get the loach eating again at the very least. Garlic will also help if you try it again. Keep the metronidazole and other meds away.

He was swimming around inside of it he wasn't stuck he was trapped. The breeder didn't last long. He got out. They have been ignoring him he is laying behind some plants. I will try the garlic again. Does the meads hurt scale less fish?

I put him in the breeder so he could get a brake from the other fish. I was putting food near where he was and the other fish would come over and try to eat the food and bump into him. Then he would go and flip around and coil himself. He hasn't left the area where he is laying all day so he has not even made an attempt to eat.
