Sorry Looking Female Fighter Fish

No problem at all - I just recently had a fighter lose his fins to a crayfish, and he was back to normal in about 2 months (I would say "a while" equals about 1-2 months). For every fish it is going to be different, how bad is the damage? What you may notice is that, as the fins grow back, they will appear to have gaps or slits in between them. These get smaller with time and may disappear altogether, but if you start seeing what looks like thin cartilidge then it is on its way to healing. There are products you can buy to speed it up but I have never sued them and am not sure how effective they are. good luck!

I use Kordel's PolyAqua and I think it really speeds up healing, esp for my Bettas' fins. The label says it's a slime coat and vitamin supplement; I add it when I see damage and whenever I move or net my fish. Works for me. :)
