I would like another cichlid tank...because all my tanks are cichlid tanks and to keep with the theme...so on and so forth.

the recent members where breeding convicts, now they have slowed down a bit so i moved them to another tank as they are wasting the space.

So Africans - Americans go crazy, I can most likely find any type of fish around my area. there about 5 fish shops within 10mins of my house.

Preferably I would like them to be more than 4". Thanks for the help, also info on them would be good and reason why you suggest them. :):)

This is a really nice tank.
3'x1.5'x1.5'

I would like a few cichlids because it is so deep and there would be plenty of room for aggression. i.e. my male convict 5" vs my female convict 3" and she does fine because there is a lot of room to move. So that was the main reason I thought 4" fishies would be fine.

its equivalent to a standard 4ft tank. I am thinking of making it into a african setup.
- 2 humpheads
- 4 brichardii
- a few random fish too

so it will be filled with colour.

The other way to go is a pair of american cichlids around the 5" max size range.

Spose I just wanted people to throw me the names of fish and then I would be like !!! yes that is perfect.

Maybe try a Lake Tangynikan biotope with some of the smaller-sized cichlids (brichardi being one of them)? Although, when brichardi pair-off they can be really nasty, and would probebly end up taking over the tank. I would maybe nix them in favor of some other neat Tangs.

I'm not so good with tang names:
lelupi
regani
transcriptus
ocellatus
brevis
etc etc

Tangs dont really have as much color as Malawis per say, but they are just as beautiful!

Humphead cichlids.... do you know the species name? Do you mean Frontosa? They would not work in the tank long term, they grow slow but would need well over a 100 gallon tank within a year or two...

I agree with LMK. Tanganyikans like she mentioned would do fine. For a bottom crew I'd get a couple syn. multipuctatus, very cool fish.
