spiny eel and covicts

if i put a spiny eel in with two convicts with fry in a 30g tank will it eat the fry?

and can someone tell me what i need for a spiney eel setup?

You could put a small spiny eel in there for a little while until it started to get some size on it. I had a small tiretrack in my 29 convict breeder. The eel may or may not develop a taste for fish, but once it does, it will eat all of the fry/other fish that it can fit into its mouth. Make sure your tank is airtight, eels like to go adventuring and may end up on the floor if there are any holes they can get out. Mine used to crawl up into the bio-wheel and hang out where the filter cartridge goes. I was very lucky he always ended up back in the tank after his "nightclubbing."
