Sponge on filter intake

I use an AC50 sponge on a Penguin 200 for the fry tank, no problems.........

I use the blue Marineland Duetto Biological Filter Pads 100 for my AC's. It's blue to match my background too. They sell for about $2.19 at Drs. F&S. Petco usually carried them too but they cost more there! I rinse mine with every water change. Works great in the fry tanks and the bloodworms don't get sucked up the filter either. The fish eat the bloodworms off of the filter pad later. Doesn't affect the flow of my filters.
