Hello,

I went I bought a new stand for my 20g long so I can setup my 35g on it's proper stand.

The box said it was for a 10g or 20g, but unfortunatly I didn't realize that it's for a 20g tall. And of course I assembled it before checking it against the tank :)

I was wondering if it would still be ok to use? I don't know if glass tanks need all 4 corners supported or not? If they do could I just cut a piece of plywood to the tank size and center everything on the stand? The width is fine just not the length.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't think having the edges hanging off is a good idea. I would get that piece of plywood asap and I might make it slightly bigger then the tank so that the glass isn't holding the weight of the water, instead the plastic is doing all the work.

I say return the stand and buy the right size. It's a problem that only has to happen once and everything is lost. One hell of a cleanup too. You're better off buying the right stand.

Not a good idea to have the edges hanging off, return the stand and get the right size for your tank.
