i have been keeping fish for a long while now and have grown very attracted to bichirs
i really want to get a rope fish
i plan to put them into my 55 with 3 blood parrots, 2 tinfoil barbs, i know tank to small but my brother is getting a 125, one pleco, 6 giant danios, and i want to know if they can be kept together and would i have to feed the rope fish differently so it would get enough food

thanks all

The giant danios will need to be isolated the moment any bichir reaches 8 inches. You could try the Polypterus senegalus. Beblondie might give you more tips on this one as it's her field of expertise. I tried the Polypterus senegalus. Not that difficult to keep at all but they are great escape artists so make sure to get a tight cover for the tank.

Bichirs are awesome! They are extremely easy to feed, (usually) quite active, and grow fairly quickly. Mine are at 3.5 inches and I feed them frozen bloodworms with the occasional beefheart or chopped earthworm.
Another cool fish is Ctenopoma acutirostre.

if you get a rope fish( or any bicher) make sure ther eating befor you get it. my senegal bicher is doing good. hes very peaceful but hes only a little guy.

thanks for all the suggestions and i will be getting my fish here shortly
