Hi All;
I have always kept a freshwater tank of one kind or another .
I am getting my 55 gallon started up, after a long break, with nothing but a betta in a Biorb to keep me in the meantime.
Man, things have changed.
My tank had been a live planted guppy heaven - I am partial to guppies- but now I want to try something different.
Just paid too much for a LED day/night light system with a timer! What an upgrade!
I want advice on a good C02 system as I am told I cannot live without one, although I never had one before.
The goal is to have a heavily planted live plant tank with a few yellow Glo tetras and a few black/red sharks.

You may run into aggression issues with multiple sharks in a tank. I've had issues trying 2 rainbow sharks in a 55 with several rocks and logs, and red-tailed black sharks are typically more territorial than rainbows.

I have a moderately planted 55 and have never touched CO2 additives... that being said, its all Java Fern, lol

Either way, welcome back to the "school"! :-). If you still like gupps but are looking for a change, you may be interested in Endlers' fish. Cousins to gupps, but more vivid/wild patterns.
