Due to the help and suggestions ive received from you knowledgeable folks, im ready to start again! I was once a fish killer, but ive read alot of stuff here and i dont think i can fail, like i have been for the past year and a half.
So ive learned to get a quarantine tank, which i did for christmas, and place all the new guys in there first. 1 week? 2 weeks?
Now for the stocking question. I have a year old female golden severum who has always been passive with other fish in the past. I was told she was community, and stocked as such, no problems, but read online that shes from the cichlid family??? Anywho, after all the other fish died, in october, she has been laying eggs quite often (once every 3 weeks). Will this make her on the aggressive side for the time being? if i stock community will she pick on them? stock semi aggressive will they pick on her?
im just really really attached to her since she is the only one who never died on me
i have a 55 gallon hex, id love if you guys could give me some suggestions on what fish go well together. now that ive learned all about the tank and water, i need to start learning about fish! thanks for any help!
