I'm considering purchasing 6 or so of these guys for my 65 gallon tank that currently only has 5 tetras in it. (I am slowly building the population in a new tank.) These guys seem really attractive, but the bit of info on the sale page (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=846) says they need a soft-bottomed, sparsely planted aquarium with tepid clear water and some current. My tank has a smooth pebble substrate and is rather heavily planted. Will these fish like my tank or should I look elsewhere? Since these guys cost around $15 each I want to make sure they'll do well in my tank.

Well, part of the info you got was wrong. Sparsely planted tanks are not good for Cories in general.

Your tank sounds great for Sterba's Cories.

thanks for the info

Judging from your screen name I'd assume you know your corys. I went ahead and ordered them. They should be joining my tank on Tuesday.
