im thinking of making my own custom tank to fit my wants for a long tank. i was thinking of something that is 12tall, 12 wide, and 6-8ft long. the gallons comes to about 45 for the 6ft, and 60 for the 8ft. now if you dont know already, i love tang fish, they are the best of the 3 lakes. what could i do with that much floor space in a tank? the 60g version is about 2x the floor space as a 55. i was thinking i could take multipul biotopes. with rocks taking 2 feet. shells taking 2 ft or so, and a 4ft sand feild for sandsifters. what all could i do with this large of a tank? ideas? suggestions?

Some sandsifters would be great for that footprint

I'd make sure to block off the shell area though with the rock. Any physical barrier keeping them and the sandsfiters apart would help keep aggression down. I've heard males of a lot of the sandsifter species are picky about keeping "their" territory "theirs".

I'd maybe do paracyps then too?

12X12X48/60 is like a race track. Killies??

Loaches! Giant school of cories!

nope, i just want tangs. maybe other fish another day, but i want tangs for sure.

Let me have it when your done.. hehehe..
if you lived closer i would attempt to make you one and sell it to ya. its small when you think of it, but its really long.

i wish i could afford those! i found a guy that i can get some from. after shipping it would cost $90 for 12 of them. i would consider it, but i dont have that much money right now. i would have to build the tank first, maybe eventually, cuz i love the tang killies, and i could deffinatly make some money off of them
