Stock with Cat & Shark

I need some slightly small fish that'll go with Catfish & a Shark. I'm guessing they'll need to be semi-agressive type.

Pictus Cat & Rainbow Shark. 55gal tank. I want small ones that'll fend off the pictus when he comes to eat them

im guessing a 55g wont be big enough for a school of gouramis with RB shark and Pictus Cat,not sure.Maybe a school of 7 Tiger Barbs.

well Blue gourami does seem beautiful,maybe like 4.3 females-1 male if you can.
