what kind of fish do you like? do you want a couple semi bigger ones or a school of smaller? personally i like small fish... there are some really neat rasboras and small rainbow fish out there.

i would put in the tallest plants you can find that you like and can afford, money wart or hornswart are nice as is Corkscrew Val .... maybe a nice piece of driftwood across the back or something ... stocking wise i would look up fish who swim at different levels - maybe some type of corie cat on the bottom (they perfer to be in groups so 2-4) then maybe some mollies who swim mid - high tank(2-4) and some danios(2-4) who swim mostly at the top... they are all about medium sized fish and the mollies especially come in nice bright colors the cories come in all sorts of patterns and the danios with different fin lengths and body patterns are awesome.... all of them are active too so your tank will have nice movement all of the time
